You've most likely seen other servers use coloured texts in their TAB or chats in order to direct your focus to certain words... you can do this too, and it's pretty simple. By following a quick step-by-step guide you'll get the hang of it and be able to use colour codes as if second nature to you.
Why use Colour Codes? What's so good about them?
Well, simply put, if you have more colour in your server, it'll make it feel more alive. Isn't that what you would want for your server to be? Using colours, you can also set up coloured prefixes using LuckPerms or use colours for the messages that EssentialsX sends into chat whenever a command is used.
How can I use Colour Codes?
Alright, here are the steps:
1. Turn on NumLock on your keyboard, it is usually on the top left of the Number pad section on your keyboard.
2. Now hold down the Alt Key and type the number "21" using the Number pad.
3. Then release Alt Key.
4. You will get the symbol: §
Once you've got the symbol, you can add a number 0-9 after it and your text should now have colour. Here's a chart of all possible colours!
